Dear Friend & Neighbor...

Years ago, I started Fellowship Baptist Church with a desire to share with you the unchanging, trustworthy truths of the Word of God, the Bible. As a young person, I heard a few things about the Bible and from the Bible, but no one ever personally shared with me what the Bible said regarding my spiritual condition and my eternal destination. I was under the impression that I was right with God and that I was going to Heaven.  

I was stunned when I read the truth that I was a sinner, that the penalty for my sin was death, that God sent Jesus Christ to die for me, and that I could be saved by personally believing upon Him.  

One night in May of 1997, when I was seventeen years old, having read these truths, I believed on the Lord Jesus Christ. God saved me and gave me everlasting life. 

Through these years, our church has worked diligently to share with you, our friend and neighbor, the Bible truths which have changed our earthly lives and our eternal destination. Please carefully read the following truths. Our prayer is that you too will believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved!

Everyone is a sinner.  

Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" 

The first man, Adam, disobeyed (sinned) God's command. As a sinner, Adam came short of the glory of God. He could not receive the approval of God, he could not go where God is (Heaven), and he could not bring honor and praise to God. Having become a sinner, his sinful nature has been passed down upon all of mankind.

Romans 5:12, "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:"

Adam's sinful nature has been passed unto you. You have a sinful nature which produces disobedience to God. You are a sinner and have come short of the glory of God. You do not receive the approval of God, you cannot go where He is (Heaven), and you cannot bring honor and praise to God. You are a sinner.

Sin's penalty is death.  

Romans 6:23, "...the wages of sin is death..."

God requires death as the wage or penalty of sin. God told Adam that in the day he disobeyed he would, "surely die." (Genesis 2:17) You are a sinner and the wages of sin is death, separation from God on earth and throughout eternity in Hell. The penalty for your sin is death. 

God loves sinners and sent Jesus Christ to die for them.

Romans 5:8, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." 

God's great love for you was displayed when He sent His only begotten Son to die in your place on the Cross of Calvary. As perfectly sinless, He did not need to die for His own sins, but He died for you, a sinner. 

He paid the price for all sinners. He is your substitute. He paid sin's penalty, death, so that you would not have to. He loves you and wants you to be saved from your sin and have eternal life in Heaven. God loves you and sent Jesus to die for you.

A sinner can believe on Jesus Christ and God will save them. 
Romans 10:9, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." 

Jesus Christ has paid the price for the sins of sinful mankind by shedding His own precious, sinless blood. There are only two choices for you as a sinner regarding the penalty for sin.  

You can choose to reject (not believe on) the Lord Jesus Christ as your substitute. If you do, you will pay for your sin. You will remain condemned, separated from God on earth, and you will be eternally separated from God in Hell. A sinner can believe on Jesus Christ and be saved.

 
John 3:36, "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life..."

If you choose to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ (apply His payment to your account by faith), God will save you from sin's penalty. He will receive you, you will become a child of God, He will give you everlasting life, and you can then bring honor and praise to Him. You will be saved. 

You are a sinner.

Sin's penalty is death. 
God loves you and sent Jesus to die for you.

Believe on Him and you will be saved from sin's penalty.

Dear Lord, I know I am a sinner. I know sin's penalty is death and that you loved me so much that you sent Jesus Christ to die for me. I believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Please forgive me of my sin and save me from Hell. I now trust you to take me to Heaven when I die. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
